The deal also consists of a car and a house that has changed Black Face Naija’s status and makes him the record label’s biggest act. Black Face Naija who has found it difficult to break into the mainstream of the Nigerian music industry has been given a fresh opportunity to prove himself once again.  According to our sources,  Franchise Events Limited spokesperson said, they decided to settle for Blackface because of his versatility , staying power  and his brand of music.Congrats to him.

Breaking News: Governor Fashola apologises over deportation of Ndigbo

 
After two months of deep reflection, Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola this afternoon rendered an unreserved apology to Ndigbo over the July 24 dumping of 72 alleged destitute in Onitsha, Anambra State, by his administration.
Speaking at the silver jubilee symposium of Igbo think tank Aka Ikenga at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, Lagos, in South-West Nigeria, Fashola declared that he has no problem with Igbos, saying that his action had been misunderstood.

Boko Haram Islamists Open Fire In Church killing Pastor And Two Kids

 
Suspected Boko Haram Islamists on Thursday opened fire in a church in Nigeria's restive northeast, killing the pastor and his two children before setting fire to the building and fleeing, the military said.
Boko Haram, which has said it is fighting to create an Islamic state in mainly Muslim northern Nigeria, has repeatedly attacked churches in its four-year insurgency.
"Unknown gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists attacked" the church in Yobe state early on Thursday, area military spokesman Eli Lazarus said in a statement.
"During the attack, a pastor and his two children were killed," he said.
The church "and two other houses in the community were burnt by the gunmen before fleeing the scene of the incident," the statement further said.

He was president of the Ijaw Youth Council for a time beginning in 2001 and later founded the Niger Delta People's Volunteer Force which would become one of the most prominent armed groups operating in the Niger Delta region. He is a Muslim with populist views and an anti-government stance that have made him a folk hero amongst certain members of the local population.

Founder and General Overseer of the Synagogue Church, Prophet T.B. Joshua says in an unusual manner, God did not reveal the death of Ghana’s President, Professor John Evans Atta Mills, which occurred on Tuesday in Accra.
The renowned cleric in a mournful mood affirmed he would have intensified prayers to avert the sudden departure of the late President if he had received any revelation from God.
“The Ghanaian President was like a spiritual son to me so I could pray to God to avert the death, if I had received any revelation from him,” Prophet T.B. reportedly told reporters in Lagos, Nigeria when commenting on the death of President Mills.

Ailing Taraba State Governor Danbaba Suntai has accused his deputy, Alhaji Garba Umar, of betrayal. Suntai said he least expected the deputy governor to lust for his (Suntai’s) office given the confidence he reposed in him.

Suntai, who spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Sylvanus Yakubu, said the governor was not the only one that felt betrayed but the entire people of the state.
Yakubu, who was reacting to Umar’s statement on Tuesday that he was 100 per cent loyal to Suntai and would not undermine his authority, said, “His (Umar’s) activities are a direct opposite of what he keeps saying.”.

Breaking News:Lagos Police Commissioner Sued For N25 Million Over Hitting A Nursing Mother

The family of a woman, Taskirat Anjolaiya, who was hit by a reckless and negligent police driver and knocked into a comatose state along with her new born baby, has filed a N25 million lawsuit against the police. Inspector General of Police Mohammed Dahiru Abubakar and the Lagos State Commissioner of Police Umar Manko are named as defendants in the lawsuit.
The accident occurred three months ago in Lagos as a police driver in an official van drove in the wrong direction on a one-way street.
The lawsuit alleges that the culprit, Corporal Friday Azukah, drove an official police van recklessly, hitting the nursing mother and her baby on June 23, 2013 as they alighted from a commercial vehicle at Church bus stop along the busy Oshodi-Apapa Express road in Lagos.
